Jim and Jenn

I will admit that I am a hopeless romantic. I love old movies, walks in the park, holding hands, romantic dinners, Parisian music, Songs of Solomon, Nicholas Sparks novels - yes, needless to say I love a good love story. Luckily, I married a pretty romantic guy. I always let him know when I need to be "romanticized" - a word I made up. So basically, when I see another couple in love I always think of a great love story waiting to happen. I really hope Jen and Jim didn't think I was crazy when I had a tear in my eye listening to how they fell in love. See they are both military and started out as friends. Jim was away for a while and when he came back Jenn knew that he was "the one". That was a year ago and look at them now!

P.S. This is my first wedding I will be shooting so wish me luck!

I LOVE backlighting!

One more....

So, I have a feeling that this year is going to be pretty good. I can't wait to see what God has in store for me. My baby girl turns two in July and starts dance lessons and my little man turns 7 in October. My business is taking off and I am second shooting weddings with one of my favorite photographers ever - check her out at http://www.starryeyedstudios.net/. I get a lot of inquiries about weddings but right now I am taking it slowly before I decide to take that plunge. I am doing one small wedding for a lovely couple this year and I am really excited about that but it is one. Plus, if I do the wedding plunge it will probably be with my friend Christine who is another awesome photographer. She is still deciding if she is going to go full blown biz, which I keep telling her she needs too. She is very talented.

Anyway, we are only going to have a mini vacation this year because...I am getting a macbook. Yep, Brett is buying me one. He has been talking about it for a while but as a photographer you really need one. So, I will be posting more and taking on more clients because I will have a better work flow with it. Since I will not be able to go on vacation this year, I will leave you with a few photos from my vacation last year. We went to Disneyworld for 7 days, St. Augustine for 3 and Savannah for 3 ( I think that is right). It was really long but completely wonderful.

With love,

Amanda

Connor and Madelyn - loving and laughing

I know that every parent thinks that their children are the prettiest, brightest, funniest and just all around the best. I know I do :) I rarely get to take pictures of my own kids (weird I know) and rarely will either of them sit long enough to let me me get a picture of them. But guess what? I got two. I know one she is pulling away from Connor but she does love him dearly. Anything that he does she wants to do better. It is so much fun watching them love on eachother and play. Brett and I were wondering in the car yesterday if Madelyn realizes how lucky she is to have such a wonderful big brother that loves her so much and shares with her and then we wondered if Connor realizes how lucky he is so have a little sister that loves to play with "guy guys" (Batman, Spiderman, etc.) and dinosaurs with him. I think God everyday for them.

Hello dear friends!!!!

Sorry I have not posted in a while. I took off a couple of months from taking photos and I am now slammed with sessions through March and April. YAY! Anyway, we are redoing my site and blog and there are going to be some exciting changes. Well, changes that I find exciting :) I am also wondering if by the end of the year I should do some marketing. I am 100% word of mouth so that would be a big leap, but I am sure it would be beneficial. Anyway, I will leave with a few beautiful orchids to remind you that SPRING is only days away....
