Can you believe how big Carter is getting? If you tred through my blog posts you can see him grow into this handsome little man! He also has 6 teeth! It's really crazy to me how fast the time flies that first year of life. Carter truly is a sweet baby too. He laughed the entire time and when we were at the park he was trying to crawl towards the kids to play. Oh, I love him!

Ashley and Chris, thank you for letting me capture his precious milestones. You two are truly blessed with an amazing little person. I think he needs a little sister though - just like Maddie ;)

Chris, Susan and a beautiful wedding on the bay {St. Louis, MO Wedding Photographer}

I had the honor of being asked to photograph my best friend in the entire world's little brother's wedding. Of course, I have known Chris since he was a baby so he is like a brother to me. The Simons are my 2nd family and I love them with all my heart. So not only did I get to photograph an amazing beach wedding but I also got to spend a long awaited weekend with my two best friends Julie and Corina.

Now let's get on to Chris and Susan. I had a hard time thinking on how to describe what others see when they see Chris and Susan look at eachother. The love that the two of them have for eachother beams and when they look at eachother you can't help but smile. It is true love story.

Thank you for sharing your most beautiful day with me. It was truly an honor. I pray that God blesses the two of you with a lifetime of memories. Remember that marriage is each of you giving 100% of eachother and always forgiving.

Mackenzie {St. Louis, MO Senior Photographer}

Mackenzie is a sweet, cool kid. Upon finding out that he plays tennis I was pretty excited because I played in high school. I think we had a lot of fun but we did have a small episode. I was walking a long and spotted a snake a few feet away from me all coiled up and hissing. Freaky! They probably thought I was crazy because I screamed, "Snake, ahh!". LOL! Anyway, I had a lot of fun :)

Thank you to his neighbors for the use of the barn and tennis court. I love the red barn!

Brittany + Nic = Elijah {Edwardsville Photographer}

I had the honor of photographing the D family this past weekend. As you may recall, they are the stunning couple from an awesome maternity session a few blog posts back. I don't know if they feel the same way but when I am around them I feel like we are old friends. I could probably sit and have coffee and talk to them all day long. And Elijah!!!! Boy is he a beautiful baby. Absolutely charming and I got to hold him for a while! He is just breathtaking.

I will leave you with a Bible verse that I live by every single day on raising my children:
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. ~ Proverbs 22:6

What I hope...

When people read my blog and look at my photos, I hope they see love between a family, the distinct lines of little newborn feet - so distinct that they can almost smell a newborn, and real smiles and memories of kids. Kids laughing, playing and reminding us adults that life is short so we should laugh and play more. These thoughts lead me to the B family. I was really excited when Sandy contacted me to do family photos. I was also excited when I found out there were three kids and the ages all held totally different stages of childhood for me to work with. I found out from Sandy that all three siblings adore eachother and little Aiden loves her Tyler and Garrett. I don't have to say much more. You can take a look for yourself and see how incredibly awesome and loving this family is. I had a great evening with them and I think little Aiden likes me. And really likes me, not because I gave her Smarties :)

B family - you guys are awesome. I had a blast and after going through these pictures I cannot wait to put the rest up for proofing. You are going to LOVE them. Your kids are gorgeous, sweet, amazing and smart. Your family is truly blessed! ~Amanda~
