Amy and Kyle - The soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Mareing {Edwardsville, Illinois Photographer}

When Amy first emailed me she just sounded so sweet. Well, I know that no one can sound anything over email, but I just got the "vibe". I knew that I would be the perfect match with her and Kyle to document their wedding day. I also love engagement sessions because this is where we really get to know each other. The first meeting is always great but working together and learning more about the couple and what their wedding day will be like is always fun. At first, I think Amy and Kyle were a little shy. But after about 10 minutes into the session they loosened up and we ended up with some amazing photos. There is never a bad photo of a couple in love and that looks this hot! Enjoy these photos and stay tuned for their May wedding!

Itty Bitty Charlie {St. Louis Newborn Photographer}

Oh sweet babies just make me giddy! And Charlie is just the sweetest. He is only a few days old in these pics but already an active little fellow. He is the first child and oh so loved! He had a ton of cute stuff, most compliments of grandma of course. Grandmas definitely know how to buy the perfect baby items.

Andrew and Emily - thank you so much for inviting me into your beautiful home to photograph your beautiful baby boy. He is truly a little treasure!

Jen and Brian are getting married! {Edwardsville, Illinois Wedding Photographer}

When I met up with Jen and Brian on Sunday, Jen brought along her "Brian Box". It is a box she has kept since they have been dating that holds all of the romantic treasures that Brian has either wrote her, they have done together or he gave her. I think all of use girls can relate to this. We all have one of these type things. Mine is now little mementos scattered throughout my married home. Little things I see that will remind me of how much my husband and I love each other and how romance is truly such an important part of relationship no matter if it is a love letter, back rub or just making a special dinner.

I am very excited to photograph Jen and Brian's wedding. I know it will be a truly special day and I can't imagine seeing Jen's beautiful dimples showing all day long because I know a smile will be glued her face :)

Maddiebelle - My little hockey star {Collinsville, IL Photographer}

So Tuesday after my session with the B family, I picked up Maddie and of course she wanted to play in the snow as soon as we got home. So I bundled her up and stalked her with the cam in the back yard. I love being able to spend time with just her and watching her imagination bloom. But I was pretty surprised when she picked up a stick, halfway through playtime, and informed me she was a hockey player. Coming from a hockey obsessed family, this should have come to now surprise. I truly thank God for these precious children He has blessed me with everyday. And finally having a mother/daughter relationship is truly amazing. She is my best friend and soul mate. She is just amazing.

Zeke and some of my favorite people {Edwardsville, Illinois Photographer}

I really cannot believe Zeke is already a year old. I also cannot believe that I have been taking pictures of the B Family for almost 3 years. They are some of my favorite clients and friends. I love watching their boys grow up and feel honored to be able to capture all of these important milestones.

I was so excited when I saw it was going to snow last Tuesday. Call me crazy but all I kept thinking was, "SNOW PICS!!!" So as soon as I got to their house, I made them promise that we could go outside for 5 minutes and do pictures while it was snowing. We had a good 2-3 inches on the ground by this time and boy, it was beautiful!!!! Enjoy!
