A wedding with Kellie Penn {Alton, IL Wedding Photographer}

I had the pleasure of working with Kellie Penn (www.acrossthemilesphotography.com) the other weekend. She emailed me a while back asking to 2nd shoot for her and I would have shouted yes but it was over email so I wrote, "YES!!!". I "met" Kellie almost a year and a half ago on one of my favorite photography forums. We only met one time prior to this at a Sandy Puc workshop but I felt like we had known eachother forever. We are the same age, both Christian women, have children, married to amazing men and share the passions. Please enjoy these photos from Sean and Missy's wedding. They were married at the most beautiful old church in Alton and had the reception in old downtown Alton. We even took pictures by the tallest man statute!!!!! Anyway, they are amazingly in love and I wish them the best :)

Kellie, I had an amazing day shooting with you - even if I was sick :) I can't wait to do it again! Love, Amanda

Um, yes, your eyes do not decieve you. That is a real bird! Missy was such a trooper and caught it and released it back into the wild - Cinderella style!

Kellie had everyone go stand at the top of the hill and posed them. I thought she was getting a fun shot of them so I thought I would get the same shot but a silhouette style! When she was done we looked at our photos and we both had the same idea! LOL! Great mind think alike :)

Rick, Danielle and a Wedding at the Park

Danielle had emailed me to do her wedding a while back. I was unsure to do it because I had never done a wedding on my own at that point. But she was so sweet and I just couldn't say no. I am glad I didn't. It is the most amazing thing to capture the beautiful moments that only occur during a wedding. The smell of the summer flowers, the music flowing in the background and smiles throughout a room. But the most amazing part is that first glance. When their eyes meet and the smiles broaden and sometimes tears flow. It was an honor to capture those memories for Danielle and Rick. Plus, I got to do it with one of my best friends Christine. She is an amazing friend and photographer. You can see her work at www.christinefoehrkolb.com.

Rick and Danielle, I hope you love your sneak peak. I can't wait for you guys to see the rest of your wedding memories. Give sweet little Ellie a kiss for me!

Love, Amanda

Thank you guys again for an amazing time!

Chris, Susan and a beautiful wedding on the bay {St. Louis, MO Wedding Photographer}

I had the honor of being asked to photograph my best friend in the entire world's little brother's wedding. Of course, I have known Chris since he was a baby so he is like a brother to me. The Simons are my 2nd family and I love them with all my heart. So not only did I get to photograph an amazing beach wedding but I also got to spend a long awaited weekend with my two best friends Julie and Corina.

Now let's get on to Chris and Susan. I had a hard time thinking on how to describe what others see when they see Chris and Susan look at eachother. The love that the two of them have for eachother beams and when they look at eachother you can't help but smile. It is true love story.

Thank you for sharing your most beautiful day with me. It was truly an honor. I pray that God blesses the two of you with a lifetime of memories. Remember that marriage is each of you giving 100% of eachother and always forgiving.

Love always,

~Amanda~
